Wismec Luxotic DF Squonk Box Mod

With the RX family, particularly the Gen3, Wismec had great success. Therefore, it seems inevitable that they would convert that very same design form into a squonk mod.

Even though it seems to take Wismec a long to release this one, it’s better to be late than never.

Featuring a 200W twin 18650 battery squonk mod, the Luxotic DF resembles the Wismec RX Gen3 in appearance. It sports a large OLED display and all of the typical Wismec board features.

It has four color options: Black, Blue, Green, and White, and it includes the Guillotine V2 RDA.

The Wismec Luxotic DF is a reliable twin battery squonker that performs well and is simple to use. It is combined with an OK but unimpressive RDA. It may not be the greatest kit available, but if you can get one for a reasonable price, it’s absolutely worth considering. It would be best if you could purchase the mod alone.

Design

It feels sturdy and is pleasant in the hand in addition to having a good appearance.

The gadget has the required Wixmec logo on both sides, but that doesn’t significantly distract from the Luxotic DF Box’s overall sleek appearance.

A large 1.3-inch OLED display that occupies the majority of the device’s front is present there. Like earlier Wismec screens, it features a straightforward layout, a bright, sharp display, and it displays all the information that is required.

The Luxotic DF is controlled by three buttons on the gadget. The top of the device has a large metal fire button as the initial component. It features a strong click when fired and can be operated with either your thumb or index finger. The bottom of the screen has two tiny adjustment buttons following it.

The 7ml capacity squonk bottle is housed within the device’s cut-out for the squonk bottle on the rear. The bottle has a well-made metal top that feels quite secure and is sufficiently squishy.

The door panels for the squonk bottle is magnetically fastened to the apparatus, and to remove it, you must pull it upward. One design decision on the Luxotic DF that I really don’t like is that you have to open the battery door first in order to remove the squonk bottle. Your battery will slip out, which is a hassle, and I believe they could’ve created a little better design, similar to other twin battery squonkers.

The Luxotic DF’s well-made battery compartment functions as you would expect it to.

Build Excellence

There are no obvious defects in the Wismec Luxotic DF’s construction.

It is a small but sturdy gadget with no rattling from any of the buttons, enough functionality from the door panels and magnets.

Features

The Wismec Luxotic DF uses a dual 18650 architecture and an ordinary Avatar chipset to provide 200W of power.

The Luxotic has all the standard wattage mode, TC, and TCR choices. As TC materials, it supports Ni200, SS, and Titanium. Additionally, it contains a micro-USB port for charging and firmware updates.

The top of the Luxotic DF’s 1.3-inch screen will show your current wattage or temperature setting, and three tiny hexagons underneath it will provide other data like coil resistance, voltage, amperage, and puff count.
